This is amazing good work. Man I just can't stop watching the trailer for this film, the music just makes the film look epic and suspenseful, just to clarify not saying that what Richard Jewell did was not epic because as a matter of fact what he did was heroic. Been trying to find the music behind the trailer. And this remake done by you is amazing. Can't wait for the film to be released in the U.K.

The story is a familiar one. The FBI works hand-in-hand with the mainstream media to present as fact a set of phony pieces of evidence to convict an innocent man in the eyes of the American public.
The two crucial dates are 1996 and 2016. On July, 27, 1996, a terrorist bomb exploded from a backpack during the Olympic games in Atlanta. An innocent man, Richard Jewell, was a subject of interest, and his life was nearly ruined due to FBI leaks to the press. Twenty years later, during the presidential election of 2016, another innocent man, Carter Page, was framed by the FBI, with Director James Comey leaking select information to the press, as part of an elaborate plan to smear Page and damage the presidential hopes of Donald Trump.
Directed in a leisurely pace by Clint Eastwood, the film's principal characters are robustly developed. The FBI agent Tom Shaw was the zealot who sought to pin the blame on Jewell because Shaw was present on the crime scene and wanted to salvage some personal credit for a conviction following the calamity. Kathy Scruggs is the unscrupulous Atlanta reporter, who wants to claim credit for breaking the scoop. Bobi Jewell is Richard's caring mother, who delivers the film's most moving moments in her courageous speech to the media. Jewel himself- warts and all- is omnipresent as his life shifts from the hero who saved lives at Centennial Park to the terrorist who is potentially guilty of a capital offense for setting off the bomb. Finally, Watson Bryant is the savvy attorney, who believes in Jewell's innocence from the outset.
The film captured the same kind of media frenzy that surrounds contemporary events like the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. It also challenges viewers to take with a grain of salt much of what the biased media is feeding them. Even the media response to this film sought to promote "Richard Jewell" as both a failure with the critics and a box office flop. In fact, the film has strong audience support and may go down as one of Eastwood's best.

Tiré d'une histoire vraie, «Le Cas Richard Jewell» raconte l'histoire de cet ancien policier, d'abord célébré en héros pour avoir trouvé le sac à dos contenant un engin explosif à Atlanta pendant les Jeux olympiques d'été de 1996. L'explosion avait fait deux morts et plus de cent blessés. Même si son alerte avait permis de mettre à l'abri des centaines de personnes, Richard Jewell, 33 ans à l'époque, avait très vite été présenté comme un suspect par les médias, sous un jour peu flatteur, sans qu'il ne soit jamais arrêté ou mis en examen. Kathy Scruggs, de l'Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) faisait partie des journalistes qui avaient rapidement établi que Richard Jewell était considéré comme un «suspect» par le FBI (police fédérale) qui l'avait finalement innocenté trois mois plus tard. Dans «Le Cas Richard Jewell», Kathy Scruggs, interprétée par l'actrice Olivia Wilde, est montrée en train de proposer une relation sexuelle à un agent du FBI en échange de l'identité du suspect, ce qu'ont formellement démenti son journal et ses collègues de l'époque. La lettre déplore le fait que le journal et ses employés soient «dépeints de manière inexacte et diffamatoire» et demande qu'un avertissement clair soit ajouté au film en ce sens. Dans sa version actuelle, le film qui sort vendredi aux Etats-Unis se contente de préciser, tout à la fin du générique, qu'il est «fondé sur des événements historiques réels» mais a créé certains dialogues et éléments pour les besoins de l'histoire. Le film se fonde «sur une grande quantité d'éléments matériels hautement crédibles» et «les allégations de l'AJC sont sans fondement», a insisté Warner Bros dans sa réponse à la lettre. Richard Jewell avait poursuivi en justice de nombreux médias en diffamation, dont l'AJC. Un tribunal a reconnu que les informations du journal autour de l'attentat et de l'enquête étaient exactes à l'époque de leur publication. Richard Jewell est décédé en 2007 à l'âge de 44 ans, de problèmes cardiaques liés à un diabète. Le véritable coupable, Eric Rudolph, a été arrêté en 2003 et condamné à la prison à vie deux ans plus tard.

This is another very good film from Eastwood ruined by the egregious lie about now deceased Atlanta Journal Constitution reporter. As she cannot defend her reputation, it is also craven cowardice from a man who remains one of the finest directors in history of the cinema.
Obviously, I have not revealed the precise details of this lie here, but it undoubtedly would be hurtful to her surviving relatives and friends to see her portrayed as such an unethical journalist and diabolical person. As a lifelong admirer of Clint Eastwood's movies, what is most baffling to me is that this lie serves no purpose in relation to Eastwood's central message about the unfair treatment which was inflicted upon Mr. Jewell.
